Perennial. Yellow/gold flowers appear in mid Summer to late Fall. 
To germinate, needs 60 days cold, moist stratification. Best Winter sown. Needs light to germinate. Press seeds into soil at the surface. Do not cover seeds with soil.
Full to partial sun.
Medium to wet soil. 
Can grows up to 6' when fully mature. May or may not bloom first year. 
Space plants 1 to 2 feet apart.

Very aggressive grower. Great for meadow plantings. May be too aggressive for garden beds.
